Equals? Well equal pay for equal work but that's about the extent of it. Between the two genders it is the female who is naturally supierer, and for her to be my equal she would have to climb down to my level. In the past four decades people have been bombarded with the idea that men and women are to fight for equality(read feminism, or whatever is the politically correct adage is these days.) When all the while for the last four millenniums and more it has been the females who were richly responsible for our advancements in social, economic and political structures today.
Amongst the good men here in our lives there is a respect for the opposite sex that will open the doors for a lady, and assist a woman with her loads; however large or small. It isn't a syndrome of the weaker sex thought but a quiet respect for the female.
No... if the women is going to stoop to a man's level then she is surrendering a great deal of power in her own gender to do so. As well she probably is going to surrender a lot more than that in her social life, because I don't know of any men that would accept her in their circle. A lot of males will in the name of Politically Correctness but no man would.

in theory, yes men and women are all equal, in practice its not so unfortunately, at one point in time men were more dominant mainly due to the fact that they were the main income suppliers of the family, but due to the decline in manufacturing and heavy industry, more and more of the workforce is becoming female as men are unable to find work suitable and so slowly the roles are reversing, not necessarily a bad thing by the way, After the way women have been treated through the centuries, its about time they had more of a say in the world, though it doesnt mean they'll do any better because they are women, lots of people said "with a woman in office there wouldnt be wars " well you've only got to look at Margaret Thatcher and the Falklands to know thats not true, so are we equal? In theory yes, in practice not yet

Man and Woman are not equal,
As you state it, they are both one half of the picture.
I believe that mEn and womEn can be equal in abilities with regard to most things, but that Man and Woman were created for special tasks and purposes.
To better sumarize here.
ANYBODY can run a 12 minute mile, (with practice and training)
Not just anybody can bear a child, nor give forth the life seed.
therefore, we are not equals, nor should we try to be.
In all things except combat, I think a woman should be free to indulge, likewise, a man should not have any barriers applied
other than pregnancy.

Men and women are equals in the sense that you can't produce without the other, but the way men see women as if we can do anything they do, or the way women always see a man as a low down dirty dog, we are not equal.

Weak.

If this is the only justification its terrible.

There are fish that are, essentially, small swimming testes. They invade a relative fishes fertilizing eggs, and fertilize with their own genetic content. They are in no way the nurturing baby-raising male fish of the relative. They are just invaders. Consider the book "the rape gene".

I think men and women are different but equal in quality, worth, role and responsibility. I dont think that the ability to procreate or for those who can not, is any differentiator of that equality.

What do you tell the woman who cant have kids? She too is quite equal and valuable.

I agree, but technically men and women are not equals. Genetically, males and females have different chemical makeups. Men have the upper hand on somethings such as muscle building and survival instinct. Women have the upper hand on maternal instinct and critical thinking. I hope this answers your question.
