if out of nowhere u just turn on the tv, and see Hitler assembling all his people and ready to mount a full on attack on the U.S, would you join the army to defend our great country?, even if you know theres a 90% chance youre gonna die. (i would bleed on the flag to keep those stripes red)

Yes, I would join the US Army/Navy . Then I would get all the people we know to join and knowing our wonderful American men, they would all stand United to protect and again destroy Hitlers regime. During that war, there were many American young men and Fathers who enlisted to protect our shores. Some Fathers had small children and hated to bid farewell to their young families, but it was a choice. They did not want Hitler to invade or advance to America. German submarines came right up to the eastern shores of America. You are a very good American. Hope you will never have to join.

in case you're doing nicely at school i prefer to advise transforming into a member of a Jr.ROTC software. in case you prefer to be on the "front lines" connect the army or Marines. If a dictatorship such as that of the Nazis ever reared its ugly head again, I think the US military would have all the volunteers they could handle.
The average casualty rate (deaths plus injuries) for all of the US' armed forces during WW2 was just over 30%. Out of all our forces that went to war, US merchant seamen (all civilians) had the highest percentage casualty rate - over 40%.
I honorably did my time in the USN during the '80s. Although I'm too old for active duty now, I would do all I could to help beat back tyranny if it threatened our great nation and our way of life.
