Can you tell me anything about any or all of the following mystical rivers from Norse mythology? Including supposed location, properties, etc.
Ylg, Vin, Vith, Thund, Thjothnuma, Ormt, Not, Nyt, Leiptr, The Kerlaugs, Slith, Sith, Rin, Kormt, Rinnandi, Hvergelmir, Ifing, Holl, Hrenn, Fjorm, Gipul, Gjoll, Tholl, Uth, Vil, Van, Svol, Sylg, Vathgelmir, Strond, Gomul, Gopul, Elivagar, Soekin, Geirvimul, Grath, Vegsvinn, Vond, Vina, Gunnthro, Gunnthorinn.
The proper accents are missing for many, and some use alternative characters. Please keep links to a minimum; wikipedians: please don't give me copied/pasted stuff from wikipedia, or links there, it is a very unreliable site.

sorry, elivagar shouldn't be in there. It refers to most of them collectively.

Svartalf, you are close. Actually they are from the Poetic Edda. But I was thinking about information of a more modern view. For instance, places where they supposedly run, or perhaps views about their purpose in mythology. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I already knew most of what was posted here in the last two answers. I'm mostly interested in current viewpoints.

Hvergelmir is the wellspring of cold in Niflheim in Norse mythology. The well is guarded by Ivaldi and his sons who are charged with the defence of Hel against the incursions of the storm giants. All cold rivers are said to come from here, and it was said to be the source of the eleven rivers, Elivagar. The name means approximately "The seething cauldron". Above the spring, the serpent Nidhogg gnaws on one of the roots of the world ash, Yggdrasil.

River Von- the River of expectation. In Norse mythology, its the river of blood that pours from the mouth of the Fenris Wolf. A gory image that's most apropos to the blood soaked, adrenaline pumping, heart rending game of savage werewolf combat, Rage.

Sorry, but that's all I could find that would be even remotely helpful! Good luck with your search!!

Sound like the river list from the prose Edda. If I'm right, this is a list of names used to mean "river" in skaldic poetry, the names coming from various parts of Norse mythology.

Hvergelmir was more of a spring. It was located in Niflheim, and was remarkable because one of the roots of Yggdrasill dipped there, and it was the source of all cold rivers.

Edit.
That's a very tall order. You'll be lucky to get it here. Readily available sources on the matter are scarce, and I suspect that this degree of expertise is highly specialised, and takes more time to get results than is allowed by Answers. I'd have to check with college level specialists, and then chase the leads.
