and if we do have souls, whts to keep it from escaping out of our bodies. when do we get this soul. do you have to be human to have one or does everything have a soul. if it wernt for ghost i dont think i would believe anything. im just so confused. is it just something that people say you hae and your suppose to just accept it. i would really appreciate a scientific opinion on this. no comments from christian extremists please.

Well.... in the occult they talk about different plans of existence. Supposedly a person has an aspect of them-self that exists in each plane, as well as the ability to shift awareness to different planes, by shifting their consciousness to the aspect of their self that exists in that plane. The soul is explained as the part of oneself that exists at the highest plane and is that part that survives death.
From there it gets a bit complicated. Everything supposedly exists in multiple planes, except for minerals. Vegetables have mineral/physical existence as well as existing on the vegetable plane. Animals have mineral/physical, vegetable as well as animal levels of existence on corresponding planes. Humans have additional spiritual planes one of which is called the soul.

The same way that you have a mind, but no way of seeing it or no way of it escaping your brain. A brain is not a mind. A mind is within a brain and is not seen, so how do you know you have one??
Same way that you know you have a soul.
I am definately not christian, but do believe in souls and god.

your soul is what governs your concious and sub concious mind. it is why you feel a certain fear or feeling from your mental prejection and it feels from within your chest area. My soul soul is innocense with a bit of thought in the middle of it. This conclusion is as good as i can come up with.

Just like belief in a deity-belief in a soul can be theorized and preached about but in the end it is unknown and must be accepted or denied using faith-not proof.
I believe in a soul but cannot prove it-it is unseen and beyond my scientific comprehension-just like God
