I don't mean this in a nasty or snide way at all it's just something that makes me curious and I wonder how many people have thought the same thing.
Why do you think so many women ask questions on here along the lines of: "I'm 4 days late. Could I be pregnant?" or comment on the sypmtoms they are having and ask the same sort of thing. Do you wonder why they ask us instead of just doing a test?
Again, I'm just wondering if you've thought the same thing. I'm not being nasty. Anybody can ask what they like.

I have all the sympathy in the world for women who get that strange obbsessive feeling, wondering what is going on with their own body. I have been there too. I just don't understand why putting yourself through Yahoo answers with no conclusive result seems a better option that doing a test. But, I didn't say it was wrong either.

Yeah, I've noticed that too Goldfish. I guess maybe it's people expressing one of two things - either a hope that they are pregnant, or a sadness that for whatever reason they've not been careful and may be. Suggests to me that they actuallly need a real person to talk it though with, but hey... we're here, right?

Sometimes the best answer you can have to a nagging question is the answer from someone else's experience. It might not be that they don't want to take a test, but as women, we are definitely share-ers, and we talk to other women about a lot of different things. This is normal, especially in that forum of Y!A.

Most of us...everyday for ever how long have been testing...thats what we do every month...the thought of one more test with only one line...is more scary then a robber coming into our homes. To some people it may help to convince other people that they could be pregnant and that its okay to test...that ...that very day could be different from every other day. If you've tried getting pregnant and couldnt you'd know what i mean...sometimes it's one of those things we just cant trust our bodies.It's just easier...for some of us...goodluck to you! sorry if you've ever read one of my questions and its bothered you....

I know... i wonder the same thing... maybe they are just tight and dont wanna part with a few pound for the test. And they really do believe that someone on here is gonna be able to confirm 100% for them!

To some people pregnancy is not easy or to get pregnant so maybe there curiosity gets the better of them , tests may not even work straight away you may be pregnant for 2 weeks before the test is positive.
This trying to conceive site is meant for these questions , just don't open the question if it bothers you.

Goldfish.... I am sure everyone on here knows that this site is only intended to help those who have a question that needs answering, it isn't in any way intended to diagnos us... and be on our mary way !!! We all know that eventually we will need to see a doctor... but it's a forum where everyone on here at some point or another has experienced something that one particular person may be asking a question about !! It's a good learning tool !!!! I myself have learned alot since being on here.............,

People who want to get pregnant can start to obsess about it so if they are a few days late then they can start to imagine that they are having symptoms like sickness, sore boobs etc. I can sympathise though because it took me nearly a year to get caught and every month i would obsess about if this month i was pregnant or not.
You should try to understand how people who really want children and cant have them feel!

For some people, they like to boast about being sexually active. It does baffle me that these women would rather ask a million strangers than just take a test!

I think maybe they didnt listen in their sex education lessons but listen to friends and want a bunch of strangers to help out with their fears on this. They dont seem to realise that worry and stress can cause them to be late among other things.

yeah i'm thinking the same thing and want to tell them to jump up and down to se if somrthing shakes in thier stomache
