Im trying to download Internet explorer 7 optimized for Yahoo! but my security settings are preventing it from loading. What do I do?
Is there a way to temporarily disable the security settings?

Try again in about a month. People have reported REGRETS from trying IE7.

HEY, are you logged in as an Administrator level user?

You should be able to go into your Control Panel, and disable your Firewall.

If you are using the yahoo browser, try opening Internet Explorer and using that.

Are you using Internet Explorer 6 with Service Pack 1? Go to the HELP menu and pick ABOUT.

Maybe you have some Spyware. You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

Good luck

DO NOT GET IE7. IE6 is worlds better. IE7 is not customizable and is full of errors. If you REALLY want tabbed browsing and stupid things like that then go intof Tools>Internet options and add the download site onto your trusted sites list. If that doesn't work change your Internet settings for your trusted sites to allow downloads.

Trust your security, it is behaving properly in this case - IE has a history of being insecure, and because of its market share it is the prime target for hackers. I suggest trying firefox or opera.

However, one suggestion: are you logged in on an account with admin privilege? If not that could be the problem.
