do you need a primary server to have dsl?

i had juno.com and cancelled it when i install my dsl

You will have to pay an ISP to get DSL.

If you installed DSL, you bought the service from somebody - the phone company, I assume.
.
They will provide the necessary server support for your account.
Check with them for email server names, etc.

DSL runs over on your existing phone line.
