Ron Artest is a better player than Jefferson right now. But it depends on how you look at it. If you take a look at both of their playing time, I would say they are about as effective as one another. I'll tell you why, Jefferson gets injured way too often, I don't think there is a season where he played the full 82 games. Being on the IL is not helping his team any. Artest, though he's injured now and then, but at least he does show up for of the games. Problem with Artest is that he's got all the talents in the world which unfortunately also includes talents for getting into trouble. Artest won't help his team if he keeps on getting suspended or make thoughtless comments about his team (i.e. last year when he was with Indiana).

If the two of them are both healthy and are playing, then hands down Artest wins, but Artest has that x-factor (good and bad) that may impact the success of his team. The good part would be that he hustles so much that his teammate will follow in his foot steps to win games. The bad part is he can start a fight at any given moment, and in doing so can get himself or even his own team mates suspended (i.e. Pacers - Pistons braw that also got O'neal + Jackson suspended). If I own a NBA team, I wouldn't want neither on my team because they cost too much and are liabilities.
