Yes we do. All the tax money and the jail fines go in the free parking. I know it does not say it in the instructions, But alot of people play that way, I found out. Some of my friends play without the free parking money, But some of them do put the money in the free parking. So it is all a matter of preference.

No I don't believe that you are suppose to be given money. It's just a free space. But of course Monopoly is always played differently.

Yes,at the beginning of the game you put $500 in the middle for when someone hits free parking.When someone pays to get out of jail or has to pay tax etc. you put that money in the middle along with the $500 from the beginning.That's the way you play.

yeah we do the money on the free parking too. i feel it makes the game a lot better, more fun. all the taxes and the fees from the chance and community chest cards go there. it makes it more exciting. i dont like the real monopoly where you auction things if you dont buy it.

In our house, we start with $500 on free space. Everything from luxury, income tax and the chance / community chest cards get paid to free space. If we have money coming to us, it comes from the bank. If / when someone lands on free space, they get it all, of course and another $500 is put down from the bank.
I don't know if that is official or not, but it works for us. :-)

We put money in the middle and whoever lands directly on that space gets all the money.

the way we play it, put all taxes and stuff u pay from community chest and chance on the free parking and if sum1 lands on it, they get all the stuff on free parkin. (well put the money in the middle)
