Question about Star Wars Lego II Level-I can't beat this particular level! =(?

Hi! I need some help on one of the levels in Star Wars Lego II. After the scene where Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewbaca are about to get compacted in the trash disposal unit they end up escaping to a room with different levels. On the lower level there are some buttons it appears you have to light up or a bridge you need to make work. There is also a hover type car that needs to be operated. I don't get how I am supposed to make that bridge work or get the buttons to light as green.

Any help would be much appreciated!

you have to drive the little lift car over the lights. you can't run fast enough to get them all green, but the little car can.
