Does anyone know the name of the movie about the town that was afraid to celebrate Halloween? When the adults were kids they had to make a statue of their hero to be put into the town central for all to see. And the jock kid wanted his statue of his father to be chosen but knew another kid's statue of some kid's grandpa would win so he lied and said the statue burned his eyes and no one ever saw the statue. Years later the kid who died from a heater thing while making his statue becomes the living dead after his hero gets killed from being squashed by pumpkins. And he came back to reveal statue to the town. And the grandpa's grandson is trying to help his grandpa who is a zombie get his arms and legs back from the firefly things. I know it was aired on ABC family almost every year around Halloween.

Okay one of the parts of the movie is, so this kid's grandpa becomes a zombie. And these two zombie hands that are controlled by magical fireflies steals the zombie grandpa's legs. So the grandpa and his grandson chase the two hands. The hands belong to this kid who got killed by this oven thing while making a statue of the grandpa who was his hero.

The town thinks that if they celebrate halloween they will al get killed by an 'evil' statue. So they dont allow anything like pumpkins, costumes, anything halloween. And they believe this because some idiot lied to the town for years because he didn't want people knowing that the 'evil' statue was great
