Um yeah there has been plenty! In fact two of my favorite new horror movies were original concepts: Hostel and the Descent.
Also, stop looking at the big budget theatre releases and try to remember that there are still a shitload of great independent and foreign movies coming out every month!

I know what u mean, i watched most of them when i was a kid, even the brand new ones that i watch i feel they r all the same old stories, the old ones were the best, without a doubt!
