waltz step is tap is : step shuffle ball-change. It reverses from side to side.
dig step: just tap the ball of your foot next to your other foot, then step on it.
maxi ford: stamp, shuffle, leap-toe. You can add difficulty by adding a pull-back after the shuffle.
Soutenu: a turn on 2 feet. Starting in 5th, the back foot tendus side, then comes to 5th in sous-sus front. You turn completely around, letting the feet unwind.
Chaine turns: Turns in releve, 2 small steps for each turn. Spotting is really key!
Chasse: A gliding step. Step forward, lift into 5th position with pointed feet, then land on the back foot. It feels like galloping.

They're professional names for what is really an attack of athletes foot and someone trying to itch said foot without being caught. When they are seen, they brake out into full dance, mumbling these words outloud to give the appearance of being a real 'pro'. The laughter and applause they receive at the end of their recitel, forever in their minds becomes the story of had they just kept at it who knows, maybe they could have been the biggest and baddest 'hoffer' had they just stuck with it. This story is usually told just before their mates ex begins to regail a table full of worshipful admirer's about the winning lottery ticket they just cashed in. Which of course your story just becomes another story of why you're single and how your mate and the big mouthed story telling ex found each other again after so many years. I hope this answered your question. I have stopped telling that story long ago, just about the time I started buying lottery tickets every week.

maxi ford- step, shuffle, leap, toe. Pretty simple.
dig step - is kinda like a ball dig. (with step)
I think you mean Chaines - quick turns while altering feet in a circle or sometimes a line. Done on pointes, sometimes demi.
