What if you asked her for a party at a location - like a mini-golf place, or fun restaurant, or the movies. Maybe do something different like bowling, or ice skating, or lazer tag. The idea is that your mom might like not having to decorate and clean up the house. You could limit the number of guests so it won't get out of hand. And since you're in a public place, there won't be any hanky panky, so maybe she'll let you invite boys.

It doesn't have to cost a lot. Ask your friends to contribute $20 each, or ask them to pay for their own meal/admission. If you're willing, you can tell them not to buy you a gift. Being at the party with you is their gift. That way they won't feel bad about being asked to pay their own way.

I had a lazer tag party for my 30th birthday, and it was LEGENDARY. Everybody had such a good time! I highly recommend it.

You will have to compromise, but use the art of persuasion. About the boys see if she will have the party go until midnight and then have the boys go home and she can even supervise. Your mom might be concerned about the price I am not sure but here are some cheap and easy decorations. Find a location or have it at your house. Decorate with streamers and balloons in orange and black from the dollar store or party city. Get out your twinkle lights from the Christmas tree and put them all over the place. Then get black and orange tubs or bowls and fill them with snacks. For your drink put dry ice in it and it will smoke. Make a mixed cd and put it in the cd player and use that instead of a DJ. Good Luck hopefully it goes your way

Well, I'm 26 and I think that just girls would be tons of fun! I would love to have a girls night now! And a Halloween party would be perfect! Go on the Martha Stewart web site.. I know, I don't watch her either, but I have to say she's good at this kind of thing, and there is a whole section on Halloween. From food, costumes, games, and decorations! And don't forget pumpkin carving! You HAVE to have candy apples. They are soooo good. Good luck!
