4. At 0 degrees (I believe that is straight up) the horizontal range is zero (ignoring wind). Therefore any change of angle will increase the horizontal distance. At any angle other than 0, the vertical component of the initial velocity is less than the initial velocity. The less vertical speed, the less time the object is in flight.
