I've been married twice. Both times I married because I loved the woman, and wanted to spend the rest of my life with them.

Marriage to me is about spending the rest of your life with some one. Trust me I know! I am 32 years old and up untill one month ago I played the field, Miss serial dater, then BANG it hit me I started to date a guy I had known on a friendship level for four years and within 3 months we were engaged and within 5 months we were married. (and no, I am not pregnant! ) Sometimes it pays to wait and look outside the box of what you should be doing to what makes you happy! They also say that marriages last longer when people wait till mid-thirtys too. For my hubby this is his second marriage, but says it feels so much more right than is marriage 10 years ago which lasted 2 years! Says something huh!

That is a good question NOT to ask your self 5 minuntes before you say I DO .. You marry because you want to ... Plus people do it for religious resons. TRADITION most countries .. marriage is a big deal ... here its a joke these days... .And for society reasons.. But if you do it .. DO it because it makes you happy.

If you're religious= bc God likes it.
If you're not= I have no idea. Why the heck would you? The feeling just wears off. When it wears off, you should be free to experience the next person, be in love, and get the most out of life.

Because real love calls for promises -- love which is an act, rather than a feeling.

Because society tells us thats what we are suppose to do. People don't take time to think if thats what is really best for them before they do it.
