Hard drive- Holds the Operating System, and all files
Floppy drive- for saving/downloading files onto a old style removable disk
motherboard-holds CPU, chipsets, frontside bus for connectivity between devices
power supply-supplies power to all above and to external usb devices
fans-to prevent hard drive, mother board, etc. from overheating.

Motherboard, CPU, Memory, Hard drive and power supply. Don't want to explain their functions; it will take a few pages. You can start up a computer with these hardware.

It can be a driver for sure. How is the reader attached? USB? Firewire? External slot? Internal slot?
