Someone who is not your friend because they say you are "not cool enough" or because of the actions of another person is acting irrational.

Cool is an empty word that means different things to different people. Lack of coolness is a bad reason to avoid someone.

The actions of others are not your fault. If your brother causes your friend anxiety, or worries her, it has nothing to do with you. You are you, your brother is your brother.

It sounds like a fair-weather-friend, if you ask me. Fair-weather-friends are not true friends.

I can always tell a good friend when they are someone who sticks with you through thick and thin and defends you when you cannot defend yourself.

I hope this gets better! My opinion would be to be careful about that person in the future, since they may have shown their true colors in treating you like this.
