When somebody discovers something up there that will make them money.
Money and trade hopes were the reason for pioneering living in the New World on earth, so surely it'll be the same for setting up life on Mars.
There needs to be a motive as well as the ability.

I wish they could do it now and send all the war mongering idiots up there to sort themsleves out, and to leave the rest of us to get on with our lives in peace.

they working on it but they'll make the space flights expensive so that all minority's can't come only the white folks will be able to afford it and a few black celeb's &latin and asian ,arabic celebs and business ppl but the regular blue collar worker won't be able to make that flight

it's technically feasible, but rather expensive. i think within 50 years colonies will be on the moon and in orbit.
