I've stopped smoking 3 years ago shortly after my husband did, due to his high BP. Just stopped right there, no props. I didnt enjoy smoking any more, which I did before. I hated standing outside in bad weather for some hasty puffs, my hair smelt bad when I got sweaty in the gym,my mouth tasted foul in the mornings. And then the coughing..My Dad died of lung cancer 2 years ago. I have never touched a cigarette again, even though I have/had some difficult times.I DO still like the smell of a fresh cigarette and long for a drag sometimes but dont dare to smoke even one as I might fall back into it. Never saved any money though because I spent more on wine now.

I'm a smoker. I've given up without a problem twice now, cold turkey, for months on end... but there's always some stupid reason I start again even if I don't feel like it. Mostly smoke when I drink... it's usually rubbish otherwise.
Rollies are the best - much more cost-efficient, you get to develop a new skill (rolling), you can share them about and not feel like you're losing anything, and they taste better. I miss Port Royal though, can't find it here.

An ex smoker, gave up almost 4 months ago, I had been a passive smoker until I left home as my father used to smoke those Capstan Full strength, my hubby's parents were smokers too so he had always been around smoke, but guess its never too late to quit as much as I miss them I will not go back again to been a smoker.

The fact that I spend most of my life down the pub, means while I'm a non smoker I'm probley on about 5 a day. Most of my mates smoke, a mixture of rollies and pre roled, as well as joints. My girlfriend also smokes. But I'm not one of thes people who gets up set if people smoke in front of me, way I see it is that its my choice to go to smokey places, and smokers have as much rights as I do, I agree for people who work there, there shold be no smoking round say the bar to protect them, but everyone else its thier option.

I am a non-smoker, my parents smoked heavily when I was a child, as did all other adults at that time, sadly my brother and I both have asthma which may or may not be a result of passive smoking.

Non-smoker, I've always hated the smell. I'm not asthmatic, but I still have trouble breathing around smoke.

Non-smoker.
My nose is terribly sensitive to the smell of smoke so I can't even breathe when someone is smoking.
