he wanted her to move to a city 150 miles away, he is a bad apple, i was seriously concerned, she agreed with me in the end, to stay here, with her family, so he moved back to our home town. My heart sank, wanted him to dissapear, but he is back. She is from a loving family, and we love her to bits, we are all worried about this guy, and his influence over her, not to mention the age difference. He is an ex con, which is a serious worry as well.
She came in at 2am, today, woke me up, sobbing, with a black eye, masses of bruises, and very distressed. He has beaten her up, the one thing i feared, i am livid, my killer instinct has kicked in here, i reported him to the police, turns out, he is on the run, and the police from his city are looking for him. His MOTHER, had the face to ring my daughter, to talk her round, i rang her, warned her off. I am worried, where will this end?

i remember your Post...and i am so sorry that she had to go through that brutal beating...he should be found and locked up..and his mother...what a bloody cheek...try and keep your daughter away from harm....if eh comes back then call the police immediately...i was wondering if your daughter wants him back or not...i hope not....i know this sounds bad but if this monster comes back...get some male member of your family to get him and give him the beating of his life...seems that he's handy at hitting women but i wonder what he's like facing up to a grown man....bet he has a glass jaw....he must not get near your girl again...i am so sorry about what happened and i wish i could help you...lets hope your daughter sees sense and stays away from him

You did what you had to do, to protect your daughter. If you have to, get an restraining order against him and his mother. She's doing that because that's her son, but that's your daughter and if the situation was reverse she would do the same thing. Record time and dates when she harass you or your daughter, then report that to the police. Keep records. So if anything go down you've already did everything according to the law.
Good Luck...

Get lawyers involved and get court injunction to prevent both the scumbag and his mother from contacting your daughter by any method and - if its feasible - a banning order preventing him coming to the town where you live.

You don't say where in the world you are so its legal position may vary from country to country.

Keep a written record of all such incidents, keep the police informed and invest in a tape recorder which can record telephone conversations if he/she try to phone you again.

Good luck

You brought your daughter up, so she is a sensible girl who has been blinded by the 'glamour' of an older man. Don't contact anyone else / warn them off - just be there for her. By listening and supporting you will help her to realise FOR HERSELF that he is no good. You can't tell her - she needs to come to it herself. And if you get any problems from the man / his mother - tell the police. That is harassment. And she MUST go to the police about the assault - again with your support.

Well I guess if there's something positive to come from this, it's that she'll probably have seen the light now and not want anything more to do with him.
I feel for you though, and even as I re-read your post I just want to go round his house and open a large can of whup-*rse.
I hope things work out for you all, be strong...

HI Shalama my way of dealing with him would get 3r4 friends to take this guy for a long drink then a nice drive to see the country sidein the dark and let him smell the petrol then let him walk home

I am so sorry, but I know if you stick together you'll be fine:
You will take your police report and go to a judge and get a court order banning him from getting near her.
