A massage therapist told me to rub castor oil on my tummy then put Saran Wrap around my middle, covering the castor oil, then put a towel on and put a heating pad on top of the towel. to warm my belly area because it will break lose toxins in my system and, if I use a colon cleanser or get a colonic, it'll be more effective than if I didn't use the Castor Oil. The trouble is that I've read Castor Oil can be toxic and harm your liver. What do you think?

I've answered your same question a few hours ago, but maybe this will help.

Castor oil will be a great skin moisturizer, same as any other oil. That would be it's only therapeutic value externally.
As far as "breaking loose toxins" -- total bullsh!t. Same for colon "cleansing" or colonics -- useless new-age nonsense without any demonstrated benefit.

Yes. I've done this for both the problem mentioned in the question and for relief of deep muscle pain. It works effectively for both, without any side effects.

One word worth noting, however: Castor Oil WILL stain any fabric it comes in contact with, so use towels that are not your "company best".

Castor Oil has been used for many decades. I do not believe it can harm you. I know it is good to clean out your system. I would not worry about that. I never have heard it ever being bad for a person. But you might want to investigate a little deeper, but I really don't think you have anything to worry about. Good luck to you and God Bless

Castor Oil may be useful as a skin softener, to treat gastrointestinal problems, lacerations, skin disorders, and to relieve pain and stiffness associated with arthritis and rheumatism. Softens and nourishes the skin. Castor oil is a natural emollient that penetrates the surface layers of the skin making it softer and more pliable and excellent for very dry skin or for sunburn.
