Get like an old VW jetta or maybe a Honda. Very good cars. You should be able to find one that will last you in that $ range.

Good luck.... hope you have a cell phone.

1500 dollars for a decent vehicle is hard to come by. However you may get lucky. My main suggestion is to look into early 90's nissan/toyota trucks (i have a 89 nissan w/250k miles that runs great) and be sure to spend the extra 20-30 bucks to get a real mechanic that you trust to look under the hood for you before you buy it. Mainly you want 4 cyl. foreign car/truck, or an old ford escort if you are a bit of a mechanic. The parts are fairly cheap and you can keep one going for 6 months easy. good luck!

U can buy a new car if you want 2 because its more dependable and longer lasting, make sure you get a Toyota, Honda ETC Japanise cars they can last for 300,000 miles plus. just put $1500 down and pay it off month by month

look around, find a deal from a private seller, they usually will take a reasonable offer. I just bought a 93 wrangler/ with half doors and soft top today for 900, runs great, 4 cyl 5 speed. so keep looking, you'll find what you want soon.

Find a dealer that will take you to an auction. A car for six months you'll find real cheap.

You'll have to get a used car, and maybe rent one from someone or from a place like enterprise.
