Obviously he lived through standing in front of the tank that day. But since then I have read two accounts, one where he lived and one where he was executed. So not sure really is the answer.

He lived that day but was later executed. His name is not known. Time magazine put him amongst the 100 most influential people of the last century.

He was arrested, questioned, and executed. So where many of the other men and women who marched that day. He was very brave, and died for what he believed in.
