Absent sexual contact, can one contract crabs from simply using a razor to trim the verge, so to say.

Thank you for your answers. To be more specific, I trimmed my pubic hair for the first time a week ago. I used a razor blade which I had previously shaved with (disposed of it immediately afterwards). I thought in time the itchiness would subside but I still get intermittents bouts of itchiness and I am concerned that something may be wrong.

No you cant, they have to be passed on to you by an infected person.
You probably have some razor burn.

Crabs live in the pubic hair, they are really little critters, so no you can't get them from shaving your pubes. In fact that would be a big deterent as they would have no place to hide other then the hair on your head, then most people call them lice. If you shave and experience itching especially if this is your first time then you should rub some moistureizing lotion on your area to help sooth it, could be razor burn if it was a new blade. If you decide to keep yourself shorn as I have for many years now then the itchies usually go away as your body gets accoustomed to being shaved there. I remember my first time, nicked myself a few times, not pleasent, now no problems.

that's a extremely undemanding prepare between men. I in lots of cases trim my pubic section. i could shave yet i haven't somewhat mastered the artwork, so i in lots of cases finally end up with way too lots razor burn. So, i stick to trimming. I dont think of any females will extremely ideas trimmed/shaved pubic hair. yet im no longer a woman, so i can't extremely inform you what they think of. haha yet i say decide for it, shave. as long as you will get it mushy, it feels lots greater effective then all that sweaty hair

No, you probably just have sensitive skin, which means that you should NEVER use a razor down there! The irritation will just get worse if you don't leave the area alone.

No, it can not cause crabs. The only way that it can is if you use someone elses razor. It is actually said to prevent lice and stuff like that...
