Don't handle venison raw without gloves, and don't eat it if not fully cooked (no pink). The raw meat can have toxoplasmosis, an organsim that can cause birth defects. Another bad idea is handling cat litter.

I wouldn't take the risk myself, unless I trusted the chef.
