Some people are photogenic and others are not. That does not mean that the people that are not photogenic aren't attractive or pleasing to the eye, yet it does mean that for some odd reason these people cannot come out in pictures looking good.
So here I am asking everyone for their thoughts, opinions and facts if you have them as to why some people don't or can't look photogenic in photos. Secondly, the main question: How can people be photogenic in photos?
It's an age old question. Please Answer Away.

I'm telling you this from a person who's been told that they're photogenic, but i do not think i'm all that attractive. Its the smile. Its the expression. If people can tell what you're feeling at that moment in the picture, then you're photogenic. I've been told i was photogenic on all the pictures where i'm smiling. I guess being photogenic means smiling and looking really happy because there are some people who smile and it just looks fake. So just be yourself and smile naturally!

well, you cannot help if your photogenic or not, although people have good times of the day to take pictures, and unfortunately bad ones. ive found, later in the day is my best time also in the middle of the night, your best photographing when your thinking about something great rather than thinking about how your picture will turn out, just dont think about the camera being there, have happy thoughts. =]]

a person just Can tell if they are photogenic because how they take a photo if all there picture are almost perfect your photogenic

Try to practice smiling in the mirror.
The more you practice, when the camera comes out you will be looking just how you practiced all because of muscle memory.

I found that when I pose, I'm not great in photos, but when I am natural and not expecting a picture, it turns out great! That's what works for me.

you cant change that im very unphotogenic and it sux but i learned to deal with it destroy all cameras!!!
