A split brain patient views an object, such as a spoon in his/her left visual field. Is the patient able to name the object? If the same patient views a word in his/her right visual field, is the patient able to name the word? explain each. Would these results differ for a normal person? Explain your answer.

Patient using the left brain know what it is , but the right brain is the one that tells them how to say it such as using visualization,

If a person saw an object with one side of the brain and view the word with the other side the brain can't communicate with each other to know what that person is viewing. So yes the results do differ from a normal person to a person who had an lobotomy. On side of the brain is artistic (right) and the other is more logical (left). it takes both sides of the brain to function as one together. If a person had the connection separated then they can't function normally in life. It is really horrible but you can still go about life it is just super hard.

its been a few years since I've been in this class so work with me! ok when the brain is split it no longer works as the normal brain because the left and right brain lobes can not communicate with one another and i think the answer to your question would depend on which side of the brain controls which function.. does that make sense?
