can anybody tell me, in detail PLEASE, where the ignition coil is located under the hood of a 2000 honda civic lx 4dr

It is where the missing coil wire is. All contained inside the distributor. Under the black distributor cap and sometime not available as a separate part.

follow the sparkplug wires to the end and there it is :)
