I saw this on a short lived VH1 show called "True Spin". It was when they have misconceptions about songs, and what they really ment. Alot of people think it means who let all these ugly women into clubs and stuff. Other people think it means about who let these honey guys out. The truth (The even interview the Baha men) is just a little sonsense song. It means what it says "Who let the dogs out". Its not a metaphor or anything, just a fun little song to listen.

It's a song about what happens when the boys go out without their wives/girlfriends. Heard that from one of the band members a while back on a late-night talk show.

To listen to the lyrics I would think it was using the word 'dogs' to mean - the unattractive people.
i.e- a guy in a club singing about there being a load of ugly (dog) women in the club.
Can't think what else it could mean.....
Plus its real cruel to suggest dogs are ugly people...

Like all rap/pop songs, it has no meaning. It's just written to be a fad for a brief period of time so that no-talent hacks can make a few bucks.

Who let the dogs out refers to pooping especially the explosion type....best metaphor ever.
