i really struggle with this too - comfort eating is my downfall, however, i have lost over 2 stone with weight watchers and they promote distraction techniques such as going for walks, vigorous cleaning, reading a book, having a bath - i found it difficult to do all of these things with a hershey bar in each hand!! good luck hun xx

Try brushing your teeth. I can never eat anything right after brushing my teeth. Maybe sucking on a peppermint candy would have the same effect.

Find something active that you enjoy doing and go do it. It's hard to eat while you're bowling, skating, dancing, etc.

Also, the healthy snacks will help too.

I do this too. I have stopped buying junk food altogether. I keep fresh fruits around. I also chew gum.

Don't keep bad food in your house. I never have junk food in my apartment because I don't want access to it.
