what qualifications and experience do i need to be a beauty editor?

1. You need to be able to write. That means that you need to study (and use) things like punctuation and good spelling and things like that (ahem)(dropping hints).

2. You need to get hired as a beauty editor. I think that you're wanting to be a "beauty writer" but that's another story.

Beyond that, there are no credentials needed.
