Budget and UHaul have pull behind trailers.
I filled out a quote request at: http://www.uhaul.com/towing/ and the trailer to transport your vehicle one-way from Ohio to California is $371. However, they require that you also get a truck to pull it which starts at $1,200! So you are looking at a minimum $1500 for Ohio to California.
I checked out pricing on http://www.transportreviews.com/ to see what paying a company to ship your vehicle from Ohio to California would cost and the average cost is about $925. Some transports are as low as $850.
I don't know where you are moving from and to but it appears that you are going to be better just using an auto transport company. You should check out prices out for your route though to make sure.

Called a tow truck and you get a driver too. If the car is disabled it will be hard to find a loading dock to roll a car into a U-Haul. Then there are professional car transporters Horseless Carrage and others. I have always used a rent trailer and a third truck to push the disabled car onto the trailer. and with three or four tie downs secure the car to the trailer.

continually purchase coverage while renting a motor vehicle or domicile for holiday. you're able to be able to never want it,yet once you do it somewhat is going to be a godsend. case in point we renting a sea coast domicile for a week, final day fixing breakfast we ended up putting a warm skillet on the counter that once held a potholder which had slipped to the floor. We took photos of the wear and talked approximately as the condo place of work immediately. The $a hundred we paid in coverage stored us a 3000 cost for a sparkling slab of counter precise.

Penske has transport trailers and dollies for moving cars. The proper class hitch is required for rental or you can rent one of their smaller vehicles to pull with.
