I have a problem with IE7. New tab button makes the application close.?

Question

When I hit New tab button to open an additional webpage, it says it is trying to connect, but then the application closes. I am using WindowsXP and connecting via Comcast High Speed Internet. Any ideas?

Same problem happened with me. The installation was not proper. I uninstalled IE and then downloaded the software ONCE AGAIN and installed it, now its working fine.

I had to install thrice!! First time around, it will close the moment after its launched!! Third time lucky?
