A computer guy set something before that turned off all diplays such as ads in the margins of my hotmail page. I had to reprogram windoqws and now they are all showing up. I would like to block them since they are truly annoying. I am NOT talking about pop-up windows.

if you have a norton internet security program, or something of that sort, you should be able to block ads and that sort of stuff along with pop-ups by adjusting your settings. you can also adjust your internet security options under control panel, you can make the security more strict by adjusting the level bar. this may stop those animated gifs and block flash animations that sometimes appear on the margins of an internet page.

I'm not sure what you were using with internet explorer but if you want a simple fix on ad problems here is a tip. Download the Firefox browser and don't use internet explorer at all.

You can set it to not show graphics on webpages so they'll load up faster. :-)
