One of the cowboys did have this name,but the other two did not. I never understood this.

The "cover" name,which IS the name of one of the cowboys is about a character who was very big and tall. And here is the clincher...the name of an Indian tribe.

OK...after hours of research I came up with my best guess for the answer but now that I see your additional clue, I'm pretty sure I am right...Cheyenne.
The other two shows which shared that title were Bronco and Sugarfoot.
