in some countries, as soon as you have high score or average on second year high school, on the third year you will be able to know if you are qualified in college. there were two choices of courses, the vocational and college course. sometimes schools are giving some options. having the passing grade(second year) the school will line you up in third year level with some college subjects, for the preparation in college, until you finish fourth year and graduated. but before you graduated from high school, some schools are inviting some spokespersons (professional in their own field) to explain and convince the students in the field they're choosen or they belong. and there were examination evaluating your knowhow and if you are capable to get into college.,from the result of the exam, the schools will tell you the courses (intellectual basis)on what degree in college you would match. i dont know specifically your whereabout or your country of origin, but in case you are determined to be a psychologist, better make good grades in science, communication, history and specially english. good luck

General studies in high school should be sufficient, as long as your GPA is at least 3.0. You may want to focus on English and Social Studies. Grammar and spelling are important as well and the first thing you need to know is how to spell psychologist correctly.
