I'm 17 years old and have a brother thats 16. Lately he's been getting me into trouble for a lot of things I never did. Whenever he's in a bad mood, he'll say that I was "aggravating him" (in his terms saying hi would be considered aggravating) and I'll get into a lot of trouble from my dad. I'm fed up with him venting his anger/crankiness on me so I need some good ways to get some well deserved revenge.
We live in the same house so take that into consideration. I don't want to do anything permanent, but something with a good sense of payback is in order.
There's no room for diplomacy here. The "why don't you just talk to him" approach has already been exhausted. Like I said when he gets into a bad mood (many times due to lack of sleep or some other reason) he'll get me in trouble.
Please only reply if you have a method for me to get even. Anything else I'll delete or ignore.

I would suggest that you just completely ignore him. as if he doesn't exists, for quite sometime. Like get on the phone when he approaches, go to the bathroom, pretending your running out of the house fast, or maybe put something in your mouth so you cannot talk to him. What he's saying is that negative attention is better then none. So not only did he push your buttons, he also feels that your parents are on his side. to make you look like the vulchuer. Don't play into that, it will irritate him more than anything, considering he feels he's got you trained. As for your parents, it's just a Thing. Eventually, that will drive him just, and after awhile he will get the point that, that kind of behavior doesn't work anymore. Good Luck

The important aspect in this is that you do not want any splash back on you, as it means he is victorious.
Is there something you can do to him at school? What about a missing homework assignment?
Rather than going for the Full Monty on this, a series of aggraviating little things that can't really be aimed at you would work better.
The missing homework assignment can turn up later in his possessions. What this does is take the heat off of you and you can claim that you are being unfairly targeted for what is obviously your brother's carelessness.

Take something that is known to be VERY important to u and destroy it then go to your old man in tears.. Dont run to him saying look at what brother did, but go to him real sad saying how much this hurts you and that u cant believe that someone would do such a thing... Naturally he will be to blam... Or plant a pair of your underware in his back pack or a picture of u undressing and tell your pops that he was going to sell them to his pervert friends...Do something that pops would never think that u would do to yourself and he will naturally look at lil bro... Or get something that will ruin his rep with friends at school and hold him hostage over it... If u want to catch a asshole then u have to think like a asshole..! I got 8 bros and sisters so I fell your pain! Go get him!

While he's sleeping, go into his room (silently) and change his alarm clock to around like 45 minuets later than it really is. So, when he wakes up to get ready for school, he'll be like "OMG I'M SO LATE!"

i know you dont want the just talk to him aproch, but you did post is in the psychology area... Any way, dont talk to him if you think it wont help, i know how siblings can be some times for sure. Talk to your dad and or your mom in a non whiney way, and make them understand that you arnt just whining. tell them that you feel you are being treated unfairly and you dont know what to do. I know that pranks can be fun some times, but if you do it to get back at him it wont calm him down, it will just escalate the situation x10

But, if your family has a video camera, then record your harmless interaction and his excessive reaction. when you get in trouble, play the tape back for your dad showing your brother is liar.

ok my brother always messed w/me so i have a couple of ways to get back at him.
1.get the password coppier downloaded onto your computer or the hyper cam then get on your brothers screen name (assuming he has on) then get on porn sites and later look on the hyper cam and act all suprised then show your mom.
2.when your at school infront of his friends get one of your friends (obviously a girl) to walk up to him slap him and be like last night was horrible and i never want to do it again. then walk away
3. when he's about to take a shower get some nair and put it in his body wash he'll come out with a silk body...that burns like crap!!!

do the same to him get him into trouble for things he didnt do mabye he'll figure out he shouldnt do that like i said frame em
or just put up with him you only have to be there for at most a year

I know how you feel but sometimes revenge makes things worse.
Try writing him a letter from the heart or talking to your parents about his behavior.

Here's one that I used on my sister. Everytime she did something like tattle to Mom or say I was aggravating her I would just say 'But I love you". It drove her nuts. Maybe you don't want to use the love word, but you could substitute, but say I just wanted your company.
