I think the saying is true...relationships can be amazing and life changing. They make us feel alive, like never before.
But when they end, they make us feel like death doesn't sound so bad.
Would you really want to live your life never knowing what love can be?
Even though failed relationships hurt and our hearts break, they make us stronger. They help us understand what we or the other person did wrong. That information can then be applied to the new relationship and hopefully, history does not repeat itself.

I like to think of the elder couples, that take walks and sit on park benches feeding birds together....they took a chance and after 50+ years of marriage are still together and happy. It's a dream to strive for.
If death takes one, the other knows that they will soon be reunited and that their departed loved one waits for them at St. Peter's gate.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Sure, you can be a hermit and never risk being hurt again. Keeping everyone at a distance and not letting a single person close to your heart, but what kind of life is that?
It's our successes and failures that make life worth living or else you're just a waste of good potential.

Dare to live and you'll find life and love is worth the risks!!!

It is better to have loved because then at least you know what it felt like to being love and the happiness and good memories that come with that.

No, I don't think so. I think the purpose of the heart IS to love , and be loved...thus fulfilling it's purpose!

Look the saying "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" It's TRUE! As horrible and painful as it may be if it don't work out, I am blessed to have truly loved and been loved....Love makes the world go around.....................
