You have 3 shirts: 1 red, 1 white, 1 blue.
You have 3 hats: 1 red, 1 white, 1 blue.
What is the probability of picking a red shirt and a blue hat?
(I think it 1/9, because 1/3*1/3=1/9).

If you have a jar of 8 red marbles, 5 blue marbles, and 7 white marbles, what is the probability that you will pick a red marble, then without replacing it, a blue marble?
(My "wrong" answer: 8 out of 20 marbles are red, so that is 8/20, then you take a red so you have 19 left, so since there are 5 blue marbles, that's 5/19. Then I think you multiply 8*5=45, then 20*19=380, so that's 45/380, which can be reduced to 9/76 (can i reduce it any more?) so I think the answer is 9/76).

That looks correct, except 8*5 is 40 not 45, so the answer to 2. is 2/19.

8 x 5 =45?
Reduce the 8/20 first. It'll be easier.

top answer is correct.

but 8 times 5 is 40... so it would be 40/380, which is reduced to 2/19.
