I have been there, done that when I was younger. Here is my advise:
If you need a job quickly and don’t want to feel like a rat for quitting after a couple of months go to places where there is a lot of turnovers and give them your best while you are there. Fast food restaurants, tellemarking (but only the ones that pay you an hourly wage, not a commission only one), and with the Holiday season now upon us, apply at the Malls and retail store for Holiday help. You can also apply at temp. agencies.
Also don't bother to put this job on a resume later. The exception to this would be the Holiday help or temp. agency, since that is the nature of those type of jobs.
Good luck.

That depends on 1) what type of job you're looking for and 2) why you'll be quitting. For example, if you'll be quitting, say because you're moving to a different area, there may be training positions available, for a company in the area you are moving to. If you are looking for work as a sales clerk, let them know that you are looking for a temporary position. Many companies have short term openings, seasonal work, etc that might be right up your alley!

Check to see if there are any Temporary Agencies in your area. They have jobs that last from a few days, weeks, or months. Though they also offer temporary to full time jobs as well. Just let them know you are looking only for temporary placement. A lot of businesses need people to fill in for people who are on maternity leave, or are off because of illness, or they may have a special project that they need extra help for. It wouldn't hurt to check it out.
This way, nothing is held against you.

Choose a job where people don't become attached to you. This means that working at a restaurant, hotel, theater, store, museum, etc. might work, because you're really just providing a service. Avoid jobs at schools, day cares, nursing homes, hospitals, etc., where you become a regular person or friend in someone's life, only to leave in a few weeks when you quit.
