yes, because the people that I touch would remember me and do better in their lives.

If you could prove beyond doubt that this were so, I personally would consider it. My reasoning is thus: my life lived as it is now affects at best several hundred people during it's course. Making the world a better place would impinge many times more people in a positive way. What better way to spend a gift?

Death is inevitable. I'm not afraid to die, so giving up my life to make the world a better place seems kind of like taking the easy way out. I would give my living self, working hard and all, to try and better the world before I give my life to death in order to do so.

If it meant following my path, set by God, the Creator, YES.
As I've always wanted to be Christ like. Realize there is nothing to loose, everything to gain by such resolve. Once you are born only one thing can occur, once you've filled in your personal parentheses then one must die. It is a protest against stagnation.
If it were to save mankind and the beauty of life on this planet school, I most definitely would. If others were to be hurt in any way then i pass.
God bless us all...

we do sacrifice ourselves when we seek to do things for a greater cause. We sacrifice our previous vices and personal objectives for the greater whole. An instant exchange would not work, since we would be sacrificing ourselves and not allowing ourselves to do work on this planet. Peace comes about only through constant effort. That is the sacrifice.

No, the human race will always be self absorbed, violent, greedy and have no moral standards, one person could not make a difference by dying. There are many moral and honest people in this world, but they don't make the news.

i think we all live for this world anyway, without realizing it. think about it, inventors invent to help expand our power and enable us to control the world we live in. soldiers defend countries so that a country can evolve and create inventors etc.. even criminals in someway help to challenge a country to develop new technologies to stop the criminals. the technology will help to create something else. its all part of a cycle which works together. we each do jobs but at the end its all for the race and the race is part of this world and it must defend it in order to survive it self. unless you are not doing anything and just sitting at home. in which case you will be very miserable and even may decide to commit suicide.

Until you have placed your life into the hands of another or a situation not of your making,or design, you have no right to ask this question. My life is my own & I have willingly put myself in harms way for the benefit of others & have managed to survive, but not without consequences. Repeat this question when you have earned the right to ask it.
