When I'm on the phone with someone (using my cell phone), I have a hard time hearing the person....its just not loud enough. The volume is turned up on the phone all the way, but it still sounds low. Antying I can do to increase the volume??

it may be just the phone you have. You might want to go and see about a trade in with your company that u use

Sounds like a problem with the signal. But one question is, which end of the converstaion/call is the problem really on?. You could walk from one spot to another or even go outside, or sit in the car, until the signal gets better. Or it could be the city you're in.
When I used to have a Motorola brand cell phone, I often got bad phone reception in SF. But one day when I went to Roaring camp, and someone where I was living called, I could hear the person as if I was home.

Some phones, depending on the type, have a whisper/private/quiet option under the settings. See if you phone has this and make sure its turned off.
