Are they trying to say to vote for them or Bin Laden will get you? How is it possible that 5 years after 9/11 Bin Laden has not been caught and we are at war with a Nation that had nothing to do with 9/11. How is it possible to use Bin Laden in the ads as if one does not vote for the Republicans, Bin Laden will surface and attack, yet they have not provided his corpse, or live body, only videos and speeches of him whenever the GOP is in a tight scandal.

"Are they trying to say to vote for them or Bin Laden will get you?"

That is EXACTLY what they are saying. Which is absolutely untrue. Democrats will fix Iraq (since it'll still be screwed up on '08), but they will not back down from Afghanistan, or any other country where the Taliban & al-Qaeda (the 9/11 al-Qaeda) may be hiding.

Anything that Democrats try to do to find Bin Laden will be an advancement upon what Bush is doing...which is nothing.

My theory is that Bush will pull Bin Laden out of his a** right before the Big Election just to sway the vote to Republican. It will be a "See, we caught him" thing. Then Bin Laden is going to tell his side and all that which I think is what the President really doesn't want anyone to know - and the next President will have to deal with it.

They use him in their ad to play on the publics fear (emotional terrorism). You can only win elections two ways, say what people want to hear or out of playing on thier fears.

Soon people will know the truth of Bin Laden and the Bush Administration. The Republicans have caused more damage than Bin Laden. The honest American people are stuck between two religious fanatical groups. Bin Laden and Bush.

Bush can not make up his mind whether he is concerned about Bin Laden or not so they use his image to instill fear much like they do with the terror warning system.

It's a nice tactic to get the American people to stop thinking about the real issues concerning the Republican party. heck even a large portion of Republicans are starting to say NO More.

The message could not be clearer. The GOP has instituted many very successful measures that have prevented another terrorist attack while the democrats take every single possible opportunity to disable those measures. The GOP is reminding people that we are, in fact, constantly under attack. There have been many attempts at another terrorist attack. They have all been stopped. Using Bin Laden footage is a very effective way of making people realize this. If they don't realize it, there is the temptation to think there have been no successful attacks because the terrorists have stopped trying. That is incorrect.

The GOP are playing to fears that if you vote for the dems, they will dismantle our anti-terrorism measures and this will lead to another successful terrorist attack. That is a completely reasonable thing to do. Because, in fact the dems have constantly been attempting to do just that. Only the GOP majority has prevented them from shutting down our anti-terrorism efforts wholesale. They WANT another terrorist attack for political reasons. The fear is very real and completely justified. Constant attempts are still going on.

Conclusion. The use of Bin Laden footage is completely justified and very important to drive home the importance of this issue and make a clear distinction between the dems and the GOP on this issue. It's more than reasonable. It's very much in the best interests of the american people.

It would not have been my first choice but his acting in all those AlJazier films was OK

I guess Tom Cruise is on the outs. Charging $50M for a movie is too much. Plus his tit for tat with Broke Shields and Mat Laur eliminates him from Republican add time.

I see it more as the GOP reminding us that the war on terror is not over and they are going to continue to fight.

I feel we should be scared and unfortunately we need to be reminded of this as we get too comfortable in our daily lives. A really good example is people at the airport bitching about security (and they do). They need to be reminded the Bin Ladens of the world exist and are still out to get us.

With regards with us being at war with the nation that has nothing to do with 9/11, I politely disagree. Iraq may not have anything to do directly with 9/11 but they have everything to do with the war on terror which is what we are really fighting.

i imagine this is because without Osama they could all were thrown out of workplace some time previous; in spite of each and every thing, they prefer the continually-hovering specter of him desperately to reinforce their ever-sagging political fortunes!
