I just saw THE GUARDIAN with Kevin Costner and it was fabulous. I liked it all, the acting, the plot, the pace. Kevin did a fine job playing Randall, the Coast Guard swimmer doing teaching duty after being injured (physically and emotionally, his crew was killed AND his wife left him at the same time, talk about bad luck, LOL!)
There was also just enough comedy to lighten it up... the scene where Randall and the young pup, Fisher, go back to the Navy bar was so cute.
I really liked THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, too, a nice up-beat movie with glorious fashions. I dress for comfort but enjoyed looking at the fashionable outfits.
Hmmmm.... INVINCEABLE was OK, too, about the down-on-his-luck bartender that got picked for the Philadelphia Eagles.

So far, it's been the Illusionist. Haven't seen The Departed as of yet, or The Prestige...just can't find the time to get to the movies.

The Departed: Great acting, script, and direction. Scorsese is an amazing director. I also really enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine.

Little Miss Sunshine. Despite the cheery bubblegum title, that movie is GREAT! Freaky Awesome I'm telling you.

OMG you wouldn't believe it!
I saw this amazing korean movie called "the king and the fool" and another movie called "monster".
personally i don't like korean movies because i thought it was going to be one of those typical asian movies in some asian channels, but after wathching this movie it made me realize how the entertainment business in asia is catching up to our western style in some aspects. also i couldn't belive how good the music and the actions were!! you have to watch it. after i watch those movies i am now addicted.
