It is a simple declaration of truth about the reality of the Self, the "ME" or the"I"but the profound meaning is hard to understand by a fragmented mind. To make it simple:
Everything in me is my world.
All the people has the same existence having their own "I's" or "ME's.
We are interacting every moment or our "I's" are in relationship every moment.
Our world that we call "I" or "ME" are interacting and we call this the society of human beings.our psychological world. I wish this will help. "We are the world" Our created illusion!!!

Simplistic. You came from the dust so you are the world. When you die you return to dust and the world comes from you.
