When Sacha Baron Cohen did 'Ali G in the USA', I always got the impression that it was recorded for UK audiences, and not for US ones. I think he just moved to the US becuase everyone in the UK knew who Ali G and Borat were, and so it didn't work any more.
So, as far as I know, Borat isn't doing well in the USA, as they've never seen him. And if they did, I'm not sure it would appeal to their sense of humour.

Borat is brilliant but he really makes me cringe, don't know how he is doing in USA I just thought i would share my opinion with you

Genius of political incorrectness! He's not doing too bad I think the US like his style of humour & on another level don't see him poking fun at them. I think that is more for the Brits sense of humour
