The effect off the pill goes off after about the 4th month after stopping it.
Remember to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Actually, getting off the pill can sometimes have a rebound ovulation effect and triple your chances of conceiving!
I know when I got off the pill I got pregnant the same month.
Good Luck!

When I decided to have my third child, I had an iud removed. I tried for several months with no success. Then I bought an ovulation test. They look just like pregnancy tests and they come five to a pack. A few days before you think you are supposed to ovulate, you begin taking the test. The tests will tell you exactly when you are in fact ovulating, and you have 36 hours from your first postive test to have sex. I became pregnant the very first month that I used the tests. I was ovulating several days ealier than I thought, so I kept missing on the timing. Good luck...

Make sure you are familiar with your cycle i.e days when you ovulate and also fertility signs such as basal temperature, cervical fluid and cervix position. Also, take pre-natal vitamins to increase levels of folic acid in your system to help prevent spinal deformities in your baby. Basically, try to keep yourself at a healthy weight and avoid alcohol, smoking or any other drugs. My doctor told me that caffeine really wasn't a big deal, unless your a java junkie, she said 1-2 cups per day was fine. Also I read this in several articles, try taking Guaifenesin (found in mucinex). It's used to help loosen phlegm in your lungs but can also help cervical fluid become a little more, well fluid-like to aid in sperm motility. I guess the best piece of advice is to be patient and try not to stress about it, if it doesn't happen right away. Good Luck!!

It takes a while for your cycle to stabilize when you stop the pill so you need to be patient. Once your cycle is back to normal, just do the "baby dance" with your partner every other day during your fertile zone. This is days 8-16 after the start of your period (assuming a normal 28 day cycle). Good luck.
