I would need more info. How much water dripping are you talking? Is it just coming from the ceiling or a vent? If it's coming from a vent, you have condensation. If there is lots of water you either have a leaky pipe, or yes, it's coming from the neighbors. If you live in an apartment, I would be consulting my landlord soon. He would want to know if he has a problem while it's still small enough to fix without being very expensive, and the smaller the problem, less inconvenience to you to have fixed!

If its dripping water then its definitely a leak from the flat above. Most common is either a badly sealed shower or the waste pipe from the bath has come adrift. In the first instance you should inform the people who live there that there is a problem, explain the damage and ask for details of their insurers. The insurers normally ask for 3 independant quoted for repair and then pay out to get it done. Obviously if you rent you need to inform the landlord. Whatever you decide - do it soon before the ceiling becomes saturated to the point it falls down.

I would have thought that the first thing you did was go upstairs and investigate where the water was coming from. You could be doing them a favour by doing that, they may not even know that they have a leak..

open door of bathroom when showering. open window if you've got one. sometimes there is nothing you can do about it but treat it with 'exit mould' or some other spray. (make sure to take out curtains and towels when spraying as it will bleach them white).
ask neighbours if they have a leak, or if you could look if there is a leak, but most likely its just a lack of ventilation when showering. it really sucks!

Your bathroom should have a fan installed to vent the moisture to the outside. Also consider that there's a leak someplace and speak to your neighbours and/or landlord to see if it can be fixed.

Sounds like a leak from upstairs. Talk to your neighbours and if it is coming from them they should pay for your repairs.

You must notify your landlord that there is a leak in the apartment above yours and a plumber needs to be called.
A leak that is allowed to continue without repair can do all kinds of damage to the building.

do you have a bathroom fan on while you take your shower?
Steam from the hot water can be condensing on your celling, getting colder and then dripping down. It also can cause mold to grow.

I have the same problem, and the window in my bathroom doesn't do much but make me cold, I'm going to try that special bathroom paint that resists condensation.
