Hypothetically if millions of people vanished at once (like the rapture of Christians predicted in the Bible), what would happen to the world economy, structure? What impact would it have on life with those people not showing up to jobs?, car accidents because the drivers disappeared?
I don't want your opinion on whether it will happen or not, just what would happen to the world if it did?

Cars would wreck and pile up. Houses would get caught on fire because maybe someone vanished while cooking. 911 would probably be ringing off the hook. People that didnt leave in the rapture would be running down the streets screaming and crying hysterically! Stores would be broken into into and Tvs and stereos and other things would be stolen. Cars would be stolen. ppl would be killing each other in cold blood in the street. There would be rapings and lots of suicides. When I watched that movie "War of the Worlds" and saw how ppl were going crazy it made me think of the end times. Also when that big flood happened in New Orleans and there was so much violence going on it also reminded me of the end times. I

That would be awesome. maybe the earth could then heal itself and man (and Woman!) would live harmoniously with nature again. Even if I were to be one of the millions to just vanish, i think that that is exactly what this earth needs. Less people. And no one person should have the ego to say that he or she should be spared because....whatever. Anyone who thinks that they have a reason to remain should be taken away. Mabe then the meek will take care of what the egotists have destroyed.

First off if the rapture actually happened I have my doubts that there would be millions of people vanish, there's not that many that would qualify.

We'd get over it. Millions of Jews "vanished" in WWII. Millions of Russians "disappeared" under Stalin, and millions of Christians are "vanishing" now in countries that don't want them. Life goes on.

Well, then let's say that the ones that will disappear are all the wicked ones so I would have to say since the righteous are to inherit the earth then it would be a much better place. No pollution, no more wars, murderers, liars, hypocrites,etc., etc. so what if we have to barter for a while and eat off the land for a while. It will be a wonderful place.

Well the 1/3 of everything would be destroyed, people would be dying all around, and the Earth and sky will flee from the presence of New Jerusalem. That is the apocalypse.
